Atlanta (January 18, 2007) - eMag Solutions LLC, a leading international electronic discovery company, has opened its European headquarters in Cardiff, Wales to service its growing base of UK and European clients.

eMag Solutions' customers include most of the leading business consultancies, forensic accountants, a significant number of FTSE 100 banks and insurance companies, along with major law firms in the UK.

"Our company has a long and deep history in Wales," said Brendan Sullivan, president & CEO of Atlanta-based eMag Solutions. "We began our history in Brynmawr and Abertillery as a former media manufacture, and as we've progressed into a full service litigation technology company, our business location has never been more important. We must have fast access to the major legal and financial markets in London as well as access to a highly skilled and technical workforce where employment loyalty is prevalent. We feel Cardiff can offer us the right blend and look forward to continued expansion here."

The use of information technology as the primary means of doing business and generating business information is fuelling the rapid growth of eDiscovery and forensic computing, which involves the identification, collection, analysis, production and presentation of electronically stored information (ESI) for either compliance and regulatory use, or for use as evidence in a court of law.

Electronic evidence has become vital to legal investigations and companies involved in eDiscovery use sophisticated methods that may involve cracking codes and encryptions, searching and restoring seemingly elusive data, tracking down and retrieving files that have been deleted, while establishing clear audit trails of their investigations.

Andrew Davies, Minister for Enterprise, Innovation and Networks of the Welsh Assembly Government, welcomed the investment by eMag Solutions. Mr Davies noted that Wales already plays a key role in the UK in the prevention of e- crime.

"eDiscovery and computer forensics is an extremely sophisticated field which is growing at a phenomenal rate," Mr. Davies said. "It represents the higher value added end of the information technology industry, requiring highly skilled, highly trained and highly paid technical staff."

"eMag Solutions is bringing cutting edge information technology to the UK and we are delighted that with the support of the Assembly Government's International Business Wales team based in Houston and Cardiff they made the decision to set up their UK headquarters in Wales."

"They could have located anywhere in the UK and it is a reflection of the skills, expertise and the advanced IT sector in Wales that they chose Cardiff."

Wales is leading a European program to combat e-crime with a e-crime initiative that including establishing a multi-agency e-crime unit, supporting businesses in fighting the problem, raising public awarness of e-crime and reporting and monitoring abuses.
