eMag Privacy Policy

eMag is committed to protecting the privacy of the users of our Web site. The information we collect is used exclusively to facilitate services that we provide to you. We value your privacy and will take all necessary steps to protect it.

Types of information requested

There are several different types of registration on our site including our e-newsletter, client registration, product registrations, forum registration, contact us registration, and e-commerce purchase information. We will ask you to create a user name and password for client registration, online product purchases and forum registration. We collect your name, job function, company, postal address, telephone, e-mail and fax if needed. For your safety, we do not collect or store credit card information for online purchases so you will have to enter that each time you make a purchase on our site. Registered clients are granted access to select content not available to unregistered users. The e-newsletter registration is by opt-in only.

Cookies

eMag uses cookies to remember you for forums and client log-ins. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser. When this information is stored on your hard drive, our system is able to recognize your browser and in turn customize Web page content and services for you. Cookies are used by www.emaglink.com so that we can remember our previous interactions with you and make it easier for you to access our Web site. Cookies only contain your login information. If you do not want us to give you a cookie, you can de-select the "Save ID and Password" option.

Shared Information/Opt out

Except for vendors and business partners who are operating under contract and who agree to adhere to the eMag Privacy Policy, eMag will not sell, transfer, assign or rent your customer information to any third party without your permission unless required by law. You may opt out at any time by contacting us at privacypolicy@emaglink.com.

Security and Enforcement

eMag protects your information from loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure by encrypting e-commerce forms and by requiring employees with access to personal data to comply with our privacy policy. Any employee who violates or abuses the eMag privacy practices is subject to disciplinary action, including termination of employment and may be subject to legal proceedings. We protect the your credit card information from loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure by encrypting the data which you provide us with current encryption tools, including HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure) and SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocols.

Your access to Personal Data

You may access and change information at any time for forum registrations or client registrations. Just simply access your account information to make these changes.

Changes to the policy

We will post all privacy policy changes to the web site in a prominent place for a period of one month.

The elements of this website, including text, logos, graphics/images, designs, information, and documents (pdfs, txt, etc), are protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, unfair competition and other laws and are owned by eMag Solutions LLC and its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, vendors, resellers, and all other third parties who have contributed materials to the website. In no event shall any of the materials be copied, reproduced, distributed, displayed, downloaded, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form without the prior express written permission of eMag Solutions and/or our partners.
