What Our Customers are Saying
FTI Consulting
Julian Ackert writes regarding an electronic discovery service:
"I wanted to give you a heads up that I really appreciate all of the hard work your team has done for FTI on this latest engagement. FTI was faced with a difficult task and extremely tight deadlines to accomplish a great deal of tape restoration and data processing. As you have done in the past, eMag has helped FTI be successful and I truly appreciate that."

Scott Polston writes regarding a data recovery service:
"I would just like to tell you how you made our company look like heroes. The level of service that your company provided was top notch.
You agreed to meet our technician early Saturday morning after him driving all night to deliver hard drives that had been struck by lightning. Your company was able to retrieve 100 % of the data from the 2 drives. This gave our company the opportunity to put this manufacturing facility back on track so they could serve their customers.
The price that you were able to quote made our company look so good, we sold a Nice Server, 3 Work Stations and a Top End Laptop. I would definitely recommend your company and we will never forget what you did for us and our customer."
Louisiana State University
Rick Andrews writes regarding a conversion service:
"I needed to convert data stored on an outdated medium to a more convenient medium. My university no longer supported the old medium, and in fact, no data management company in the whole city had the equipment needed to convert the data. Not only was eMag Solutions able to do the conversion, but I felt I could trust them with my irreplaceable data. They contacted me when they said they would, they completed the work in the time they said they would, and they did the work correctly."

Ruth I. Major writes regarding consulting services:
"Our firm had the opportunity to work with [eMag] during a hotly contested federal case in Chicago. As soon as we were in contact with [eMag], we began receiving the help we needed to sort through some difficult electronic discovery issues. [eMag ESI Consultant] was able to navigate us through the process by which backup tapes are restored as well as other complex issues relating to electronic discovery. [eMag] is now the first [organization] I call when dealing with electronic discovery matters."

Simon Wiltshire, Open Systems Director, writes regarding
MM/UNIX:
"The very nature of our business means that our mainframe handles significant quantities of datasets in a variety of formats. We were looking for a solution that would help us migrate away from a mainframe environment to Solaris servers while keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. eMag provided a highly reliable and fast product that was extremely easy to use and able to replicate all processes without impacting our flexibility or productivity."
Michael Wright
Michael Wright writes regarding MM/PC:
"Some time ago I wrote a large number of VMS command files and Oracle SQL scripts. Backed them up to tape, thinking I could retrieve them on another site at a later time. Eight years later, I find I have no access to a VMS system, and am unable to restore the tape. Standard NT backup solutions fail, CPIO and TAR on Unix also fail. As a last hope I searched the Internet and found MM/PC. It worked first time, and my old scripts and data are now stored safely on my PC."

Anne Skelly writes regarding a conversion service:
"I wanted to take a minute to tell you that everyone at your company has handled this project in a most professional way and that I am very pleased with the experience. The thorough communication via email made the whole process a success."
PC People
Frank Mayer writes regarding a conversion service:
"Thanks very much for the effort put forth by eMag. Once the data is sent via e-mail, and the record counts verified, it is not necessary to follow that up with any other magnetic media reproduction. This is said only if every thing is cool on the conversion. Just don't want to make more work for eMag that really is not necessary.
Now for the important question, do you have an invoice coming to me so I can pay for the excellent service provided by eMag? Oh, pass this on, you as an individual and eMag as a company have provide the best services ever. I will use your services again and again.
You will have another tape coming to you when I receive the data."
CompuCredit
Alan Borchers, the Data Operations Manager, writes regarding MM/UNIX:
"CompuCredit receives a variety of computer media tapes and uses both Microsoft NT and Unix operating systems for processing data received on these tapes. Recently our company purchased a new IBM 3590 tape reader, which was to be connected to a Sun server in the Unix operating system.
While we could read fixed length files using Unix commands from the new tape drive, our largest and most important file, a multi-gigabytes file, was formatted with variable record lengths. As such, the file could not be read into our system!
The solution to our problem came from eMag Solutions and one of their products called, MM/UNIX. eMag allowed CompuCredit to use a trial version of the product and MMUnix worked. eMag's technical team was able to answer all our questions on setting up and using the program.
Once connections were established, an operator was able to use the product with very little help. Reading in our large, variable length file was very easy. Without this program, operations would have moved the tape drive to a NT server causing delays in our daily processing.
MMUnix is easy to use and eMag provided timely and effective advice through their technical help personnel."

Robert Kelly, the Data Control Manager, writes regarding MM/UNIX:
"I have been using MM/UNIX for the past four months, converting EBCDIC format tapes received from one of our clients, to ASCII format for their application.
Initially we tried loading and converting the data ourselves, but the results were inconsistent. We then searched for, and tested software product's similar to MM/UNIX. None of the testing was successful.
MM/UNIX loaded easily, and ran as advertised the first time through. The GUI screens are excellent, and the help facility has answered most of my questions. The support staff is top notch, they'll be there to help their clients through any and all issues, even if it means working through the weekend. Pretty rare these days. I highly recommend this product."
Image Data
Leon Stone, the Production Support Analyst/Programmer, writes regarding MM/PC:
"Impressive! 3 Files from 3480 in less than 5 minutes instead of an hour and 50 minutes for just one of them. A better than 60 fold increase in speed. They got rid of the rewind and reread problem. Excellent.
My sincerest thanks."

Tom Bourke writes regarding MM/PC:
"I wanted to say thanks to your team and let you know about it. A handler of your product suite was really bogging down, and your folks were fast and sharp in fixing the problem.
Hats off to your folks!"

Anonymous writes regarding De-Duplication Services:
"We had an urgent matter that required our attorneys to render a legal opinion within 48 hours. We contacted eMag Solutions to help us with 6GB of data in 6 post office files that we needed de-duplicated in a hurry. eMag personnel offered us 2 different solutions to help us de-duplicate the data before the end of the day and they processed our files. The output result reduced the materials for review from 6GB to 3GB and we were able to get the legal opinion to our client well ahead of schedule. Thanks eMag, you saved the day for us!"
