eMag Facilities
Our data processing facilities handle a large range of electronic discovery and non-native data restoration services as well as conversions, migrations, recoveries and other general data services- from one-offs to large tape media and data interchange requirements. By making use of our facilities based in the US and UK, you can take advantage of over 30 years of experience in all types of data service applications. In addition if you have secure data that cannot leave your facility, then we can bring our labs to you. We've gone to clients around the world in a moment's notice.
Electronic Discovery & Data Restoration
Our secure, high-tech, state-of-the-art facilities provide unmatched flexibility in ensuring the rapid and safeguarded processing of your important electronic evidence data. Our portable and scalable technology allows for rapid data extraction without having to recreate the native backup environment leading to significant reduction in costs. Our proprietary software enables electronic culling of large populations of data and metadata, to produce only relevant output in a de-duplicated manner. In addition our secure facilities (24x7 monitoring, keypad and bio-metric entry, CCTV monitoring, fire protection system, redundant power and A/C systems, and more) ensure the safety and integrity of your critical data.
General Data Services
Our facilities can also be used for regular jobs (moving data between dissimilar drive types, converting data into an indexable form (CD), system migrations and upgrades, tape duplication, and much more) without the need for maintaining expensive tape equipment in-house or for one time data service requirements. We provide the expertise and equipment, and you just provide the tape(s). We have a wide variety of expertise in most media types.
Quality Assurance
Every job is scrutinized under our unmatched Quality Assurance process and requires a Finished Job Audit (FJA) upon completion. The FJA is a quality control process that we use to ensure that each job is done correctly and meets eMag quality standards before it is released to the client. No media can be released from our facilities without completion of a successful audit. Audits are initiated by project managers and are performed by members of the production department. If an audit is successful, the media is released for shipment. If an audit fails, the job moves back to the appropriate production stage for analysis and additional processing.
ISO 27001 Security
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is an ISMS standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotmechnical Commission (IEC) that identifies, manages and minimizes a range of threats to business information. It is widely considered a gold standard in information security, providing guidelines for implementing a constructive risk management process, setting up policies, and ensuring a secure infrastructure is in place. This standard shows that a business has taken preventative measures to protect clients' data, and demonstrates to customers and prospects that the business is observing a duty of care.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 represents the only auditable international standard to define the requirements for ISMS, with certification achieved exclusively by companies that demonstrate the highest competency in information security management. eMag is the only e-discovery company to have its e-discovery processing centers certified under ISO/IEC 27001:2005, and one of only 83 companies in the United States to currently have this elite accreditation.
Culture of Excellence
Our internal processes determine the quality of the work that we deliver to our clients, so
it is absolutely critical that these processes maintain the utmost integrity. To ensure the highest
level of quality, we have spent many years developing an Operationally Excellent Infrastructure that
is unmatched in our industry. eMag's Job Management System is the direct result of the collaborative
efforts of every department within our organization, and it allows our clients to have complete access
to their jobs every step of the way with the assurance that eMag is 100% committed to providing a
quality deliverable.
Chain of Custody
Every piece of media is immediately barcoded and entered into our Job Management System to establish a formal chain of custody. The media then enters our service center, where it is tracked
every step of the way on our proprietary Intranet and job log system. A completed chain of custody is
provided to the client with every job.
Intranet/Extranet
We have created a dedicated Job Intranet for every eMag global facility. Each job has a unique
identifier that is updated 24x7 and includes a media tracking job log, detailed reporting, along with
input from sales people, project managers, and support. If development is required, we have a separate
Development Intranet to monitor the development process every step of the way until the
project is complete.
