ISO 270001 Security
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is an ISMS standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotmechnical Commission (IEC) that identifies, manages and minimizes a range of threats to business information. It is widely considered a gold standard in information security, providing guidelines for implementing a constructive risk management process, setting up policies, and ensuring a secure infrastructure is in place. This standard shows that a business has taken preventative measures to protect clients' data, and demonstrates to customers and prospects that the business is observing a duty of care.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 represents the only auditable international standard to define the requirements for ISMS, with certification achieved exclusively by companies that demonstrate the highest competency in information security management. eMag is the only e-discovery company to have its e-discovery processing centers certified under ISO/IEC 27001:2005, and one of only 83 companies in the United States to currently have this elite accreditation.

Finished Job Audit (FJA) for all processes:
To ensure an unbiased, fresh look at all job processing results, a Final Job Audit (FJA) review is completed by a qualified eMag Associate. Each FJA report review covers every aspect of the job processing based on detailed checklists designed to verify that
- Proper data was processed
- Correct requirements were applied
- Every processing event was reviewed for issues and errors
- Output data was checked for reasonableness and correctness
To additionally ensure that the job processing was checked and double-checked, any data released to a client is accompanied by an eMag Quality Guarantee that all applicable FJA checklists were successfully passed for the data being delivered.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes:
eMag maintains a library of SOPs with detailed instruction for all media management and job processing activities. All SOPs are subject to constant review for accuracy and completeness, and current SOPs are readily available to all individuals who might require them. Recognizing that the benefits of valid SOPs are reduced work effort, quality of the end results, professional credibility, and legal defensibility, eMag Management and Associates are committed to the use of SOPs.
